02 Field note
How the room is composed
- layout
- Asymmetrical living zones gather around a modest hearth, with low furniture, clear circulation, and wide windows extending the room toward forest and garden.
- materials
- Pale birch, bent plywood, white plaster, warm brick, linoleum, wool, leather, cane, and mouth-blown glass balance industrial clarity with natural tactility.
- furniture
- Laminated bentwood chairs, rounded tables, compact daybeds, open shelving, and softly upholstered lounge pieces favour lightness, comfort, and economical construction.
- lighting
- Diffuse northern daylight is supplemented by sculptural opal glass pendants, perforated brass shades, and small task lamps that spread gentle reflected light.
- decoration
- Striped wool, simple ceramics, abstract prints, woven baskets, and clipped branches introduce muted blue, moss, and ochre without interrupting the calm spatial rhythm.
